I copyedit, proofread, write, and provide related editorial services to meet a wide variety of needs. My passion is to work on projects in which excellent writing and progressive social values can come together. Through my business, I use my deep knowledge of grammar and the fine points of writing to assist authors in crafting works that are a pleasure to read.
I have a heart for people too often pushed to the margins of society—immigrants and refugees, members of the LGBT community, people of non-white races and ethnicities, people with disabilities. Much of my work is for publishers that produce materials for church use: Bible studies, Christian education curriculum, worship resources, children's bulletins, and more. My experience has also included copyediting and proofreading articles, newsmagazine columns, books by independent authors, business communications, and web content, as well as lots of writing during my college and seminary years and my first career as a Lutheran pastor.
My family moved to Ely in 2015 after falling in love with the community's support for the performing and visual arts. While I serve most of my clients remotely via the internet, I welcome the opportunity to work with local businesses and individuals as well!
